Joe Filipovich and The Blues Cities to Appear on Range

Joe Filipovich (Joey Flip) is a  door to door vacuum salesman turned full time musician. Owner of JF Music, lead guitarist, singer, songwriter, Joey Flip stays active in the community with music education, helping the MN Blues Society, (non profit) and performing music. He has performed at many fairs, festivals, clubs, weddings, and private parties around MN, WI, IA, and even in Nashville. His music has influences from blues, soul, r&b, and roots. He believes music should touch the listener, be inspiring, and tell a story. 

His new album, "Release" was made available  for sale in May of this year.
It's being played on the radio in USA, Canada, France, Belgium, Germany, Spain, UK. It is being played on radio stations around the US and Europe. His guitar style and sound has been compared to Stevie Ray Vaughan, Bon Jovi, with the soul of James Brown.

Joe started "Blues Studio in School" It's a 6 week workshop, working with 2 jazz bands from East Ridge High School in Woodbury, MN once a week. He'll be teaching blues improv, scales, theory, and history. He will have professional blues musicians join as special guests to share their knowledge.  The workshop is from Jan to April 2016 followed by a live performance open to the public in May. He will be hosting a fundraiser to help fund this project, Nov 15, Sunday, 12-5pm, with silent auctions, bake sale, and live music from his band, The blue Cities, Armadillo Jump, Squishy Mud, and Sweet Tea. 100% of the proceeds will go to this project.
